One form of technology that appears to be on the rise is 3-D printing.  This form of printing has gone from something only done in the educational and business world to something that you can do in your own home, according to Dylan Love.  Love interviewed a couple of people with expertise in 3-D printing.  Luke Winston of Formlabs, in an interview by Love stated “most products we use today involve 3-D printing in some way during the design cycle.  Shoes, electronics, and even building designs make use of it.”  Love goes on to say “even if you’ve never touched a 3-D printer, you’ve touched an object that was made possible because of one.”
